Privacy Policy

Kept is a list app. We built it so that your lists stay yours: there are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics.

Data stored on your device

Your lists, entries, notes, ratings and photos are stored only on your iPhone. We do not receive them, unless you choose to share a list (see below).

Lists you share by link

When you tap “Share list” or “Copy link”, a snapshot of that list (titles, subtitles, notes, ratings, tags and links — never your photos) is uploaded to our server (Cloudflare) so the short link can be opened by anyone who has it. The snapshot is not linked to your identity, contains no device identifiers, and is deleted automatically after 2 years. To have a shared list removed earlier, contact us with the link.

Autofill services

When autofill is on and you type a title, the text you type is sent to the matching service to find suggestions, and covers are downloaded from it:

• Films and series — The Movie Database (TMDB)
• Books — Open Library and Google Books
• Games — Steam (Valve)
• Places — Apple Maps

Only the search text and your device language/region are sent. These services have their own privacy policies.

What we don’t do

• No account or sign-in, no e-mail collection.
• No advertising, tracking or third-party analytics.
• We don’t sell or share data with anyone.
• The app does not request your location.

Children

Kept is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
